Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a major in Community & Therapeutic Recreation and Event Planning with a minor in Business. She is a Certified Wedding Planner with The Bridal Society. She has several years of event experience and has previously worked for a venue and caterer. She opened Exceptional Events in January 2015. She specializes in weddings but also does a wide range of event planning. Her favorite part about event planning is the organization. She loves to make lists and plans and see them all come together. She is also very artistic and creative. This job allows her to implement art in so many ways from design to actual hand-lettering. Kaitlyn has a sweet, hard-working husband named Jeremy and they share two children. When Kaitlyn is not working, she enjoys spending time with her kids the most!
Allie
Allie started working for Exceptional Events in 2019! She loves planning events and her friends jokingly refer to her as "the mom of the group" because she is always gathering them for functions and making plans. On a professional level, she has coordinated festivals, fairs, fun-runs, black parties, fundraisers, and community events on various levels of size and complexity. Her favorite thing about event planning is the "buzz" before an event starts - that feeling of excitement when she sees an idea come to life. "It is so rewarding to me," Allie recalls. In her free time, she loves to cook, explore and travel around North Carolina, hang out with her friends, and binge watch netflix tv series.
Julia
Julia started working for Exceptional Events in 2019. She is willing to help out where ever she is needed! Julia loves to decorate cakes and make other treats for fun! She enjoys using her creative brain towards decorating at events as well! Her favorite part of working weddings is getting to watch everyone experience their big day and make special memories. She has experience in the food industry, cakes and dessert industry, and photography industry!
Allyson
Allyson started working for Exceptional Events in 2018. She got married in August 2018 and we helped coordinate her special day. She decided it would be a fun opportunity to join our team and help other couples relax and enjoy their day stress-free! She enjoys helping with weddings because she loves being creative and watching the ending results of ideas come together. Her favorite part of a wedding is the first dance. She loves seeing the love, affection, and happiness between two people. When Allyson is not working her current day-job or helping us with events, she loves to spend time with her family, especially her son Raylan. She also likes to shop and travel to the beach!
Amber
Amber started working with Exceptional Events in 2021 as a way to be creative and get time away from being a Stay at Home Mom. However, she is so caring and so used to being a support person for her kids, she easily becomes the one to take care of anyone she comes in contact with! She is great with coming up with plans on the spot when problems arise and enjoys pulling together an event the way the client imagines it. Her goal is to own a venue of her own one day!
Kelly
Kelly started working with Exceptional Events in 2021. She loves being crafty and decorating. Kelly is great with florals and colors. On her first day, she made an amazing floral/fabric swag piece to hang from the Bride's Hexagon Backdrop Stand. It really added to the ceremony site perfectly! Kelly enjoys talking with the guests and getting to know more about people and their families.
Lauren
Lauren graduated from Elon University in 2015 and has been doing events in different capacities ever since! Her favorite parts of weddings are sending the bride down the aisle and watching the couple's first dance. Being detail-oriented and full of energy help her in coordinating all the small things that make a wedding run smoothly. She currently lives with her husband and dog in Gibsonville and works for a non-profit in marketing. She is also in a master's program at UNCG. She loves to watch documentaries and spending time outdoors. She loves remembering her own wedding day and how every special detail. This helps her find ways to assist couples have their perfect day!
Emily

Emily started working with Exceptional Events in 2018. She has always loved planning and organizing events. Weddings are her favorite because she loves to watch couples come together and start their journey as a married couple having family and friends around to celebrate their day is so special. She currently also works as a lead dance instructor at Bella Ballerina in Greensboro. She enjoys playing the ukulele and hanging out with her friends and family.
